Why choose home schooling?

The advantages of home schooling for students can be a relaxed environment, without the anxiety of school or pressure to study a particular curriculum.  Lessons can be delivered at a pace that the student is comfortable with.  On the other hand, home schooling can also allow for an intensive and focused approach to learning, possibly when time is limited and a goal needs to be achieved.

Our Tutors

At Academic Tutors Surrey, we provide teams of qualified, experienced, DBS checked and fully vetted tutors to educate students on a weekly basis either full or part-time. This can be online or in person.  Our primary tutors provide tuition in Maths, English, Social Science and Languages from reception to Year 6.  Our secondary tutors provide tuition in all subjects from Year 7 to Year 13.

Timetabling

We can advise on hours and create a home schooling program or timetable to suit the student’s needs, whether this be a gap between schools or a longer term option. On average, it is recommended that primary students engage in 2 hours of one to one tuition per day and secondary students engage in 4 hours per day.
